Attraction World Group’s Las Vegas Roadshow Triumphs in Glasgow, Kicking off the Return of Engaging Travel Events

Glasgow, 07/06/23 – Attraction World Group, a leading provider of unforgettable travel experiences, celebrated a spectacular start to their highly anticipated roadshow series in Glasgow last night. The event marked a significant milestone for the company, bringing together travel agents and suppliers in an evening filled with excitement, knowledge-sharing, and memorable prizes. 

Kara Widdows, Product Manager for the USA at Attraction World, expressed her enthusiasm for the roadshow, stating: “Our return of the roadshows in Glasgow last night was actually my first roadshow experience with Attraction World. Having been a part of putting this together from initial ideas and partnering with our suppliers, who were so thrilled to be part of this opportunity through to the day… I knew what to expect on the night. Except Glasgow blew all expectations out of the water! The training was fun, and the agents attending were amazing at getting involved. There was a lot of excitement in the room, and it carried throughout the evening. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening and cannot wait to do it all again in Newcastle tonight. Thank you so much to our suppliers who are sharing this experience with us. It wouldn’t be possible without your support.” 

Nicky Yates, National Retail Engagement Manager, echoed the sentiments, adding: “This was our first roadshow back after a 5-year gap, and boy, what a night it was! The agents in Glasgow did us proudly and definitely brought the energy, which in turn, we fed off! They loved the supplier presentations and quiz, and one lucky agent walked away with a Maverick helicopter flight for two people to use on her trip to Las Vegas, and another lucky agent, Shona Cowan, won our star prize… a place on our Las Vegas Fam Trip taking place in September. An amazing night; bring on Newcastle tonight.” 

Olly Nicholls, Group CEO of AWG, shared his personal connection to the roadshow’s revival, stating: “My first experience of Attraction World was back in 2007 when attending a TUI Orlando roadshow. I had the pleasure of meeting Tony Seamen and Julie Warnes and was incredibly impressed with the work that was put into the roadshows. Ever since joining AWG, I have been eager to bring the roadshows back, not just for Orlando but for all of the other amazing destinations we work with. It is also important to note that Retail Travel Agents are at the very centre of everything we do at AWG. Our retail division has received an incredible amount of investment over the past two years to rebrand, rebuild the team, deliver a new award-winning agent portal, increase engagement, deliver exciting fam trips, and now these amazing roadshows. We do not get things right all of the time, but we are on a journey to put AWG back where it belongs, front and centre of our retail agents’ minds when they are booking amazing experiences.” 

Kelly Hayre, Head of Retail at Attraction World, expressed her delight at the successful roadshow, saying: “Last night, we returned with the start of our previously famous AW Roadshows and kicked off in style with ‘Viva Las Vegas’ in Glasgow. An incredible feeling to be back doing what both our team and agents have always loved. Glasgow did not disappoint; we received the warmest of welcomes! The evening events are full of fun, laughter, and product knowledge from some of our key suppliers, giving our agents a night to remember as well as tools to take back to their stores/businesses to sell, sell, sell. We said previously that our goal this year was to ramp up our engagement across the whole retail network, and this just marks another huge milestone for us! Immensely proud of my team and everyone else involved in pulling this incredible roadshow together, and a special mention to our amazing suppliers; we really couldn’t do this without them. We look forward to seeing more of our fabulous agents in Newcastle, Birmingham, and Manchester this month.” 

Alex Perez from LVCVA (Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority), shared his excitement about partnering with Attraction World for their Las Vegas roadshows, stating: “It is amazing that AW has revived their roadshows and give destinations a platform to showcase their Attractions and activities in the resort. Las Vegas provides so many different experiences for all, and educating consumers on everything there is to do is sometimes an impossible task. Additionally, agents from renowned companies such as Hays, Barrhead, Inteletravel, Thorne, Brilliant Travel, Stewart Travel, Ramsay World Travel, The Holiday Village, and The Merlin Travel Group attended the night, adding to the vibrant atmosphere and engaging discussions.
